Le Grand Chêne

is a large house of about 120 m2 for 6 to 8 people, adjacent to the house of the owner, but entirely independent with a private entrance and driveway and a beautiful view over pastures. The house is situated in a hamlet of the municipality of Cornus on the Larzac, at 30 km from the beautiful city of Millau.

Description

The living area is on the first floor: Cosy living room with fireplace and internet. Open kitchen with oven, refrigerator, dishwasher. Veranda with large dining table. Terrace with a « plancha » (for grills). Bathroom with shower, washbasin, toilet and washing machine.

Red bedroom

Second floor: 3 bedrooms – master bedroom with double bed and single bed, double bedroom, large bedroom with bunk beds and single bed. It is possible to add extra beds or a cot if necessary.

Outside
Large shaded garden and garage.

Surroundings
The house is situated in the hamlet of le Figayrol where there are two sheep farms (including the one of the owners). The house is situated at an altitude of about 700 meters on the Causse du Larzac, a thinly populated area, ideal for nature lovers, hikers and cyclists. Grocery shop in Cornus (5 km) and La Cavalerie (11km), supermarkets and boutiques in Millau (30 km).

Activities
There are many tourist excursions, such as a visit to the Roquefort cheese caves (20 min), the Millau Viaduct (20 min), the fortified villages of the Templars, gorges of the Tarn, Jonte and Dourbie. The lake Lac du Salagou is 30 minutes away and the Mediterranean 1 hour away.
